What Therapy Can Be
A natural, normal conversation, that turns out to be like no other conversation you’ve ever had. It leads you to think about everything in a different way and unleashes your creativity towards new solutions.

About Me
I’m a licensed mental health counselor in New York State, with almost forty years experience, but you should know that’s not all that I have done.
What Therapy is Like
I’m committed to helping you fully express yourself and to finding solutions to your problems that work for you.
I tend to be more interactive than many counselors and strive to be clear and direct, down-to-earth and practical.

My Books
Other Writing
I have written hundreds of articles focused on mental health, relationships, philosophy, and the practice of psychotherapy. I’m awed by everything a psychology of depth, insight and relationship has to offer and want to share it all in thoughtful, accessible writing.
I have a Substack newsletter which comes out once a week with the latest I’ve been working on.
